McGrath Quarter Horses purchases HUS stallion BR I Am

McGrath Quarter Horses is pleased to announce the purchase of BR I Am, a 2003 brown stallion by Duplicated Deck and out of Georgia Rabling (TB) from Rosenfeldt Quarter Horses.

BR I Am finished in the Top 10 in the Congress 3-year-old Hunter Under Saddle Futurity and in the Top 5 in the limited Futurity. He is the earner of 23 points in Hunter Under Saddle. BR I Am is a full brother to Congress Champion These Irons Are Hot, and also Congress Top 3 (as a 2 and a 3) and World Show Junior Hunter Under Saddle Top 5 finisher A Beautiful Ride. Another full sibling, BR Tiger Talk, was Reserve Congress Champion in Youth Hunt Seat 12-14.

BR I Am (HYPP N/N) will stand in 2010 at Nancy Sue Ryan's Show Stop Farm in Nocona, Texas and his stud fee will be $750, including the first collection (mare owner pays actual cost of Fed Ex).

"BR I Am comes from a great family of horses. The cross of Duplicated Deck and Georgia Rabling (TB) has been exceptional," said Kevin McGrath of McGrath Quarter Horses. "I have had a foal by These
Irons Are Hot, have one of my good Luke At Me daughters is in foal to BR I Am for 2010, and have mares in foal to A Beautiful Ride (including Congress 2 year old HUS Champion producing Zips Classy Act) for 2010 too. I think BR I Am will compliment Million Dollar Luke as a quality choice for hunter under saddle breeders. This makes sense for our program as BR I Am will have an opportunity to breed my Luke At Me mares, Nancy Sue's Luke daughters along with daughters of Fabuluke, Million Dollar Luke and other exceptional broodmares."

Discussions about the acquisition of BR I Am started some time ago, but after the recent and tragic loss of Duplicated Deck last week, it was unclear whether Bill Rosenfeldt would want to sell I Am. "We are so pleased that Kevin and Nancy Sue recognize the future prospects in this young sire. We feel that "I Am's" interest will go so well with the promotion and mare quality that can be generated through their breeding program. We will continue to breed to and promote "I Am's" offspring," said Rosenfeldt, who will continue to stand Its All About Blue and cross Blue on daughters of Duplicated Deck.

Paige Quarterman, who showed I Am and has been involved with his development since the beginning, said: "Just a few of the I Am's we are excited about are 'Designed I Am' out of My Designer Coat (full sister to Hunt Coats Required, Congress Champion, High Point NSBA 2yr old HUS), 'Because I Am' out of Tilt N Full (multiple superior producer and World qualifying producer) and "Here I Am" out of Natural XTC (Congress Top Ten HUS Fut and multiple futurity winner). From being around his colts, as well as reports from other owners, besides other obvious pluses ... these babies are in your pocket and are just easy, easy, easy to do anything with from the beginning."

Million Dollar Luke and AQHA Champion Good Huh will continue to stand at Bennie Sargent Quarter Horses in Kentucky ( www.sargentquarterhorses.com ). Contact Kevin McGrath mcgrathqh@comcast.net for more information about BR I Am, Million Dollar Luke or Good Huh.
